"CREATING MUSIC IS THE THING THAT I ENJOY DOING THE MOST"
De’Shaun Carr aka Shaun Flaco is an aspiring recording artist, sound designer, and audio engineer. He grew up in San Bernardino, California and was previously making music that was predominantly influenced by his dynamics and selfish ambitions. But on May 31 2013, when he nearly lost his life in a deadly car accident and survived uninjured, he realized God had given him a second chance at life and a new sound. Taking heed, Shaun Flaco miraculously alienated from his wayward lifestyle and began studying at Sanford-Brown College where he will receive his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Audio Production and graduating cum laude in January of 2017.

Since college, Shaun Flaco has moved from an entry level to a lead position where he facilitated and acted as lead production crew for Dream Vision Studios, on events such as iHeart Radio’s Concert with Justin Timberlake. He has worked hands on with both analog and digital equipment while assisting with tracking and studio set up for multiple clients at Sanford-Brown College. With a strong background in rap and hip-hop, his diverse experience includes mixing and mastering songs in the genre of emo rock, alternative punk rock, progressive stoner rock, rock ballad, pop, and country. Shaun Flaco has also assembled an assortment of tracks entitled “Second Chance”, which consist of distinctive songs inspired by transformative experiences and his relationship with Jesus Christ. In February of 2016, he collaborated with songwriter Vince Casas on “Starting Over”, a single that was recorded at Vegas View Recording.

Shaun Flaco plans to release his new project “Redemption” in April of 2017.
He plans to be actively working in a studio environment while establishing himself as an artist. He desires to impact lives and liberate communities while helping navigate lost souls to God's grace through his music. With hopes of changing lives as much as dynamics, Shaun Flaco wants to provide an outlet for the youth by opening up recording studios in underdeveloped areas.

The Recording Artist
This playlist contains tracks that I wrote and recorded to edify my listeners. I put my soul and heart into my craft, therefore, the type of music that I create is not just something you hear but it is also something that you can feel. To me, rapping is lyrical language called braille; to me, rapping is a mix between my passion and my gift.
The Audio Engineer
This playlist embodies a sequence of records that I mixed and mastered, from scratch, in Pro Tools using the standard plug-ins. For this project I decided to push myself by mixing songs in genres that are the furthest from my comfort zone. When I started this project I struggled because I was unfamiliar with the overall sound. By the end of this project I proved to myself that I could assemble almost anything and deliver it on both, reasonable and impractical time frames.
The Sound Designer
This playlist consists of songs that I designed using Reason rewired to Pro Tools. As I designed and composed these songs, thoughts of broadcasts, laser zaps, movies, and runways came to mind. Therefore, each song has a unique sound and story line that fits in the following categories: commercials, video games, film, and fashion.
The Triple Threat
This number is a combination of all 3 of my skill sets. I contributed and assisted with assembling the lyrics for the song, designing the musical elements for the foundation of the bridge as well as arranging the order and format of the song itself. In addition, this single was mixed and mastered in both Pro Tools HD and Pro Tools 12 and was tracked with a Bock Audio 195-condenser microphone on a SSL 900 J series console at Vegas View Recording.
